Bread Pudding

26Apr2020

We have quite a lot of old bread in the freezer, some about-to-expire baby's milk, and some opened bottles of alcohol to choose from, so I made pudding. It is the best!
-----
Ingredients:
3C of Milk
4Tbsp Butter
3/4C Brown Sugar
1tsp Vanilla Extract
1tsp Cinnamon Powder
3Tbsp Brandy (optional)❤️
1C Raisins
8  thick slices of Bread, cubed
4 Eggs, beaten

Procedure:
Mix milk, butter, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon powder, brandy, raisins into a pot and simmer till sugar and butter are melted.

Put cut up bread in a big bowl and pour milk mixture over bread.

Set aside to let bread soak the cooling milk mixture.

Once soaked, pour beaten eggs and stir to blend eggs in.

Pour all into a generously buttered pyrex dish and bake 45-50mins in a 350°F preheated oven.

Serve hot.

*Note.
I do not have standard measure for the bread. Just make sure that the milk mixture you prepare soaks the bread cubes well, and more of it settles at the bottom of the pyrex dish.

That looks delicious. With these detailed instructions, I may be able to make this. But I will need enough old bread.
